COVID-19 UPDATE

To all our clients. Thank you for your patience and understanding. As the corona virus pandemic continues to impact on our lives and work, we are constantly reviewing advice from the government, Royal Collage of Veterinary Surgeons and British Veterinary Association. We are keen to do our part in limiting the spread of this virus. This means that we have had to implement measures which would not normally be in place. As a caring profession this has been extremely difficult for us but we feel it is vitally important for the protection of our staff and clients. We are also committed to ensuring that pets do not suffer during these difficult times

We have reduced our staff levels down by splitting into small teams working on different days to decrease exposure and limit the number of people in the building. This will also help us to stay open if more staff members need to self isolate.

At this time we are no longer doing any routine appointments or operations. If your pet is sick please call the surgery and we will arrange either a telephone consult or a physical exam depending on the urgency of the illness/injury

We are asking ALL clients not to enter the practice unless asked to do so. Please call first. If you have brought your pet down for an emergency appointment please call us from your car on arrival and we can arrange to collect your pet from you for examination. There may be some instances where you will need to accompany your pet, if this is the case then only one person will be allowed into the practice and only if absolutely necessary

We are still doing repeat prescriptions and these can be posted to you. If you would like to collect these, we can bring them out to the car for you. Please call to pay over the phone before collection or posting. You can still order wormers and flea treatments from us but these will be posted. All medications will be sent via recorded mail.

If you have questions about vaccines please call us. Yearly boosters can be delayed for up to 3 months. If you pet's booster is overdue, it is important to reduce risk by avoiding socialization with other dogs from different households and walking near areas of flooding or other water sources.

Thank you again and stay safe!

From Adam, Linsey and Jess and the team at Southcrest
